PASTOR – Shane Lester

 

Pastor Shane is from the small community of Mittie, in Southern Louisiana.  His parents, Wesley and Teresa Lester, served as pastor of the Mittie United Pentecostal Church for 34 years. Candace, Shane’s wife, is also from Mittie. It’s a standing joke that Candace, had a crush on Shane at a very young age (they are 9 years apart). They were married when she graduated high school, and she has spent years trying to perfect him.

After growing up in a minister’s home, Pastor Shane served as a US Marine, worked as a contract electrician, and even spent a brief time working for the U.S. Border Patrol before following in his fathers footsteps. At the age of 30 he was called to the ministry, and has been working for God full-time since. Shane and his family had been evangelizing for only about 3 years when, God called them to the pastorate in Delhi, in March of 2002. Pastor Shane has 4 children Torri, Scarlett, Gentry and Sierra.

They love meeting new people and sharing Gods word. Through good times and bad, they have settled in for the long haul in our wonderful community.
